CANDIDATE RESOURCES
Your next step, explained.
Understand eligibility, assessment, and the responsible use of a professional credential.
01 / BEFORE YOU APPLY
Understanding eligibility
Begin with the certification pathway that matches your training or experience. Review its scope and prepare a record of your relevant education and professional practice.
- Use your legal name consistently across your application and supporting documents.
- Keep relevant training certificates and course outlines available.
- Record the type and duration of your practical experience.
- Wait for the final handbook before obtaining or submitting additional evidence.
Final eligibility requirements are being developed. An existing training certificate will not automatically qualify a candidate for an APSCB award.
02 / THE ASSESSMENT PATHWAY
From application to decision
- Review the requirements. Read the published eligibility criteria, assessment scope, fees, and policies.
- Complete eligibility review. Submit the requested information through your candidate account when registration opens.
- Arrange assessment. Book an available session after eligibility approval.
- Demonstrate competence. Complete the required knowledge and practical components.
- Receive a decision. Review the outcome and any available reassessment or appeal options.
03 / USING YOUR CREDENTIAL
Verification and recognition
Verification confirms a credential's record and status with its issuer. Recognition means an employer, regulator, or other organisation accepts that credential for a particular purpose. These are different.
Before relying on a credential for employment, migration, licensing, or further study, ask the receiving organisation whether it accepts that exact award. APSCB makes no promise of universal acceptance or government recognition.
Certificates will only be issued after assessment requirements are met. The verification register will contain issued credentials, rather than course enrolments or unapproved applications.
